You can embed HTML into the Description field when you put a placemark down... students can create things using web 2.0 tools (glogster, animoto, youtube videos, voicethread, etc)(also schooltube, for those who have youtube blocked) and then embed into the GE tour - NICE MASHUP!

Biggest problem with PowerPoint is that you have to listen to everyone of them. By the end of the second one, all learning stops...
